Business Trip to London
April 9, 2010, 8:00- 16:30
The European Business Association Cambridge has organised a business trip to London! We had a tour in the House of Parliament and afterwards we have visited the Bank of England.
At the Tour of Parliament you we saw the key areas of the estate, such as the Commons and Lords debating chambers and the Queen’s Robing Room. The tours lasted around 75 minutes.
The Bank of England Museum told the story of the Bank of England from its foundation in 1694 to its role today as the United Kingdom's central bank.
Standing at the centre of the UK's financial system, the Bank of England is committed to promoting and maintaining financial stability as its contribution to a healthy economy. The Bank sets interest rates to control inflation, issues banknotes and works to maintain a stable financial system.

Business Analyst/ Intern Communications and Content
The European telecommunications industry faces fundamental changes these days. While the importance of landline and mobile telephones decreases rapidly, the Internet becomes even more significant. In order to deal with these changes telecommunication companies need to optimise their transaction and administrative costs, innovate products and services and above all, concentrate on the needs of their customers.
Responsibilities
As a Business Analyst you will analyse projects related to market entrance and development. Furthermore, you will consult customers about cost-cutting and pricing strategies and implement plans in an interdisciplinary team. Depending on your skills and interest you will get the opportunity to work in different departments such as Marketing, Finance or IT.
Job requirements
-excellent communication, analytical & leadership skills
-ideal candidate has experience in the communication industry
-expecting to achieve a minimum 2:1 degree
-willing to travel for work
-fluent in English and in the language of relevant country (German, French, etc.)
The positions of Business Analyst and intern are primarily for the BearingPoint branch in Germany, however suitable candidates can be interviewed for positions in other countries such as France or UK.

Haiti Appeal Stall
February 22, 2010, 10:00- 15:00
EBAC has received a thank you letter from DEC (Disasters Emergency Committee) for organising and raising money for Haiti disaster (note: the other £300 were transfered to them as donation on another reference code) [View the letter here].
The European Business Association Cambridge (EBAC) would like to draw your attention to the recentHaiti Earthquake disaster. The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) has already raised £77 million for the Haiti plight and we would like to do our bit to help increase this total. We know that human tragedy does not have a monetary value, but every contribution makes a difference. 
On Monday the 22nd February EBAC will be running a charity stall on "The Street" in Helmore Building. We will be there from 10 am till 3 pm. If you feel passionate about this cause or simply want to help, please, stop by our stall and join us in this good cause.
We will be informing everyone about the actual consequences from the earthquake and the ways we can help the Haitians. A one hour documentary about the earthquake will be running throughout the entire day. In order to encourage your participation we have prepared a raffle with prizes donated by local businesses and stores. Each raffle ticket only costs 50p. Every penny collected on that day will be donated to the UK government initiative DEC Haiti Earthquake Appeal. If you will not be able to join us on Monday, you can still contribute by going to the DEC link posted in the event and choose one of their donation options.
